Faith Sabbath Lap Book

I have on my heart to make a lap book on Sabbath, so today I am going to find the scriptures I want to use and start to create my first lap book. I think this is a do-able subject and I have asked hubby to help since he is more Bible based than I am. (he can find things faster and help me to understand them better...he has the gift of teaching) So, if all goes right, maybe, there should be a Sabbath lap book in time for the Sabbath. Please, if you have ideas or things you think should be include… Continue

Valerie Contest: Pray & Play Bible

UPDATE: Using Random.org, out of 47 comments the Winner is #13 Donna. Here was Donna's idea for starting off your morning prayer: We use this prayer for my Sunday School class (<5): We thank you Lord for all our friends, who stand by you until the end. We thank you Lord for time to share, the words and love in our hearts we bare. Keep us safe and keep us pure, we love you always, that's for sure! Amen! Congratulations D… Continue

Jennifer My attempt of the Abraham's Sacrifice Craft!

Check out my latest photo! This is my attempt of the craft from Little Blots, Sunday School Craft area! I added a thicket for the ram to be caught in. I used a cloud pocket and a branch graphic from my scrapbooking software. To fill in the cloud pocket, I turned the branch sideways, backwards, and upside-down. Then I cut a slit for the horns to be "caught" in. Just my spin for a 3-D effect! Thanks Valerie for the craft!!! Continue

Jennifer Tower of Babel Lapbook

Here is the links for the very simple lapbook that Hope and Amberly worked on last month. We started off with the lesson in Sunday School, but then the girls wanted to make a lapbook! Surprise, Surprise! A special thanks to Valerie for her hard work making this come together! The front cover is part of a handwriting practice sheet from Christian Preschool Printables. Amberly finished the rest of the page for the inside of the lapbook. The tower craft came from the Bible craft section from here… Continue

Crystal Sewell The Terrible Two's???

Sofia will soon be 2 years old and the so called “terrible two's” are creeping in. I hate to call it that, but it seems that is the only thing I know to call it. It isn't all that terrible to be honest. The only “new” behavior that is manifesting is whining. This can be frustrating at times, especially when I am on the phone or doing something which has taken my undivided attention away from her. I must admit that there are times where I lose my patience with this new whining phase. So what is… Continue

Jennifer I am amazed!

I am working on a new lapbook for my baby girl with her colors... yes, another one already! LOL! I am truly amazed how God works all things out. Not that we was having a problem. But for those who don't know, this is how it started. We have some of those magnetic alphabet letters/numbers on our fridge. Well in the past little bit, I have noticed that they are being grouped together not by words, or in order, but by colors! Then I realized that the height of them on the fridge was on the level of… Continue

Jennifer Another new lapbook! (I told ya'll that we love them here!)

Using one of the file folders that I picked up at Mike's Merchandise, my oldest daughter and I made a lapbook for Psalm 23! She wanted to do one for herself since she is not getting to work on them in Sunday School! (Just my baby is in my class!) The blue file folder was a larger than the normal ones we have used from Walmart. It ended up being just what we needed. This is still a simple lapbook with mostly coloring pages from Danielle's Place. But we did manage to include some things from sever… Continue

Jennifer Excitement over a possible new lapbook!

Ok, since coming to this site and searching online about lapbooks, my mind has been going a mile a minute! Today was my lucky day! I went shopping with my family and mom. We stopped at a place that is called, Mike's Merchandise, (and it was on ebay at one time, but not sure if they still list!). I found some larger file folders for 5 cents apiece! They had orange, red, blue, and the plain manilla ones. So I grabbed them! When I got home I got my mind on the orange folders. I thought... what on t… Continue

I'm sorry to report that there have been some site problems as of late. The issue has been reported to the webhost, and we're working on getting it fixed. Some people have been reporting that when they enter the site they get a pop up message "Operation Aborted" and then are kicked of the site.

Trying to do it all, are you? I can relate. My life has been so busy lately and I don't even work a full-time job! (Unless you count being a wife and mother). I have 3 part-time jobs. mommy to 3 duckies 31 Days of Praying for your Husband

I received this from my h.s. group leader. I believe it is from the book Power of a Praying Wife. As mothers and (most likely) wives, this is a wonderful way to pray Scripture for your husband each day.

1
Praying for Your Husband

“She does him good….” Proverbs 31:12a
Bless your husband by praying for him!

The Apostle Paul instructed all Christians to pray for one another (Ephesians 6:18). This

Teresa Valerie

Hi,
It was nice to hear from you. How are you doing?
I am still plugging away at my site. I added several Christmas ideas this weekend.
There is so much going on around here, between the holidays, birthdays and everday things, it is hard to fit everything in.
I am working on a Christmas play with my class for the Christmas pageant. We are doing "The Legend of the Candy Cane". It is pretty easy for my age group. At the end I was going to have my class sing "Amazing…

mommy to 3 duckies My Philosophy

I love to see parents with a heart for their children-not just their education, but their well being, their morals, their spirit life, all the parts that get clouded by the world. As one wise pioneer homeschool mom said:

"If all you do is disciple your children, your worst day homeschooling is
better than the best day at government or private school away from you."

Academics are important but not the *most* important. Without a proper
world-view and a spiritual foundatio…

Judy Not Very Dedicated Yet

Obviously, I did not get back in here last weekend as intended. This has been a very busy and blessed week for us. We did cover the letter "E" for Kid's Church last Sunday. We did Elijah. I wasn't sure that the story would hold the kids' interest but they loved it. They were fasinated by the idea of ravens delivering bread and meat to Elijah. We did some worksheets: a maze, counting ravens, finding hidden objects in a picture of Elijah and the ravens. Then we had a snack. I had printed and cu…

Judy First Try

Hello Friends,

This is my very first attempt at blogging. I'm not really sure what I want to do here. Maybe I can share my experiences with the preschool ministry at church. We have been working our way through the Bible A-Z, using Valerie's teaching resources as well as other books and files that I have saved on my PC. We did letters A,B, and C and then reviewed those lessons by making very simple lapbooks to take home. It was a little challenging because we have varying skill levels…

Valerie Make your own Felt Board

Okay, so this week my children absolutly destroyed out felt board! They started playing with it, and ended up ripping off the felt from the board. I must say though, that it was about time for us to make a larger one anyway! We had one of those small ones that came with a set. We couldn’t even fit Old McDonnald’s farm on there, which was a big disappointment for my children…..who love the song, and love to put the characters up as we sing…..So, I went on a mission to make a new one…a big one……
