Creation Globes By David C. Cook Give your little ones a delightful illustration of the creation story with six nesting globes colorfully depicting each day of creation. Inside the 6th globe is a smiling face with the words "And Me" showing that each of us is a part of God's creation. Kids will develop motor and size relationship skills while learning the biblical creation story. Parents will find a Faith Interaction Parents Guide located on the back panel of the box to help reinforce God's story of creation. Recommended for ages 9 months and up. |
This page has instructions for making Creation Bean Bags, which work wonderfully as a teaching tool for your Sunday School classroom.
Basic Instructions: For each bean bag, sew right sides together leaving a small hole un-sewn for turning it right side out. Once turned, fill the bag with rice, beans, or plastic pellets. Then hand sew up the edges.
Day 1 On the first day God separated Light from Dark. For one side I chose a black corduroy and the other a soft minky white.

Day 2 The second day of creation God seperated the waters into the atmosphere and the water of the seas. There is a soft fuzzy blue fabric for the clouds, and a patterned shiny swirly blue for the oceans.
Day 3 On the third day of creation God made the dry ground, plants and trees to cover the earth. On one side I put a furry green grass-like fabric, and on the other I used a burlap to represent the ground.
Day 4 The fourth day of creation God placed the sun and the moon and the stars in the sky. To represent the sun, I used an orange fabric with quilted circles, and for the moon and the stars I chose a silky fabric.
Day 5 On the fifth day of creation God created the birds in the air and the creatures of the sea. For the birds I tried to find a feathery fabric, and for the fish I found a fabric with shiny scales.
Day 6 The sixth day God created the creatures on the ground and mankind. For the animals I found a print that depicted a few animals in a small square, and for mankind I chose a brown stripe fabric to represent the many colors that God created us.
Day 7 The final day of creation God saw all that he had made and it was good! Then he rested. So I've got a solar system on one side and a nice soft white pillow on the other.
